The REACH Columbus Scholorship Fund
Brown County is home to a large and vibrant special needs
community that greatly benefits from REACH Columbus’ services.
Unfortunately, cost is a significant barrier. While REACH
Columbus is an approved Indiana Medicaid provider for Day
Program and PAC services, families typically wait more than two years for the State of Indiana to approve a Medicaid
waiver—leaving many unable to access these vital programs in the interim.
About REACH Columbus
REACH Columbus, Inc., provides a comprehensive day program
for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities,
focusing on building relationships, developing employment skills,
promoting daily living independence, and fostering community
involvement. Through individualized programming, training, and
support, REACH Columbus empowers adults with disabilities to
gain a sense of self-worth, identity, and the joy of contributing
meaningfully to their community.

REACH Columbus accepts self-pay participants, and we are committed to helping as many individuals as possible attend.
Current rates set by Medicaid are
● Hourly Rate: $13.28 per hour (plus $15 per day for
transportation)
● Full Day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM): $127.88
Our goal is to provide eligible participants with the opportunity to attend two days per week, depending on the funding we can raise.
The approximate cost for one participant attending two days per week for 50 weeks is $6,400 annually.

We are helping to send eligible individuals in our community to participate in the transformative programs at Reach Columbus, Inc. One person attending training 2 days a week for a year is approximately $6500.
